Meet Matthew Burks

Real estate didn’t find him. Real estate raised him.

Born and raised in Central Florida, he is the son of a powerhouse real estate broker with more than thirty years of closings behind her and a father who taught him that your word is the whole business. He grew up hearing negotiations around the kitchen table and has lived in nearly every corner of Orlando. So when he talks about Central Florida’s neighborhoods, he isn’t reciting market data, he’s talking about home.

Nothing was handed to him, though, and he wouldn’t want it any other way. He believes consistency creates the dream, not the other way around. That means being up before the sun doing the work others often skip: walking dirt sites, running the numbers twice, and building relationships years before there’s a deal inside them. That approach has helped him establish his place in luxury real estate, new construction, and land across Winter Park, Windermere, Winter Garden, and the greater Central Florida market. It’s also why builders and developers trust him with some of the region’s most distinctive new communities.

He builds as well as he sells. Through Burks Holdings, his development company, he underwrites land and puts his own name and capital behind projects. When he advises a client on what a property is worth, he approaches it with the same discipline and analysis he would use when investing his own money. He also embraces emerging technology to give his clients an informational advantage—helping them know more, sooner, and move with confidence when opportunity arises.

What clients can expect from him is simple: the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable; energy that doesn’t run out; and a phone that gets answered. As the industry continues to innovate and grow, so does he.

That’s been his mindset since day one, and he’s never meant it more.
